Spiced Chickpeas (Granm)

Ingredients (Serving 2)

1 cup cooked chickpeas
Handful curry leaves
1 small onion sliced
1 teaspoon black mustard seeds
1 teaspoon crushed ginger garlic
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon curry powder
2 tablespoons oil
2 small chilli (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste


In a deep pan heat the oil, add the mustard seeds. When they start to crackle add the curry leaves. Stir fry for 30 seconds
Add the ginger, garlic, onion, turmeric and curry powder. Stir for about 2 minutes. If  the paste is too dry add a little bit of oil.
Add the chickpeas and mix in well, stirring for around 30 seconds
Season to taste.
You may add some chilli as well
